UPDATE: MegaHouse’ G.E.M. Mimi, Lillimon gets standard release

Surprises come one after the other these days, and even this previously announced Tachikawa Mimi and Lillimon figure has something new to offer: it will get a standard release.

The announcement was made during the Megahobby Expo held at Akiba Square, May 28.

Unlike the previously released champion form from Digimon Adventure, Mimi and Lilimon will be the first non-exclusive and non-limited figures from the line.

And with this standard release comes a lower price for these adorable duo. You may snag them for ¥6,800, even lower than the upcoming Wizardmon.

Pre-orders will open in August and is set for release this year.

When it rains, it pours.

Just when we thought the unexpected announcements will end with Takato and Guilmon, MegaHouse is not yet done with surprises as they announced a Motomiya Daisuke and Veemon figures at the Megahobby Expo 2016 held at Akiba Square, May 28.

Daisuke and Veemon will join MegaHouse’ Adventure 02 line, joining the previously released Ichijoji Ken and Wormmon.

And with this announcement, it might not hurt if we jump into conclusion of a complete Adventure 02 set. Tracing back, the said company already released a complete set of the Digimon Adventure characters.

Magazine Scan: Takato, Guilmon joins MegaHouse’ Digimon Tamers line

GokaiSilver4521464216781

[EDIT: Updated image, other details]

Expect the unexpected.

This is what MegaHouse’ actions led us to believe as they surprised fans with the announcement of an unexpected Takato Matsuda and Guilmon from the Digimon Tamers series.

Believing that the G.E.M. Digimon Tamers’ 1/10 scale line will end with Makino Ruki and Renamon, the announcement of Takato and Guilmon came out as a surprise. Following the release of Adventure 02’s Ichijoji Ken and Wormmon and the lack of news from 02’s other characters afterwards, it led to a point where fans believed MegaHouse will only pick one character per series and focus on the Digimon Adventure characters.

However, this new teaser proved the speculations above wrong, as Tamers will get another character in figure form. But it also opened new questions if MegaHouse will continue with the other characters from both Adventure 02 and Tamers, now that they will give us Takato and Guilmon.

Furthermore, the Tamers duo will also be another shop exclusive available only at Premium Banda, Megatrea and Toei Anime shops. The figure stands 3.51 inches and measures 4.29 in length.

Orca Toys reveals White Cat Gravure Style Erza Scarlet

Jellal-sama… Uhhh!

[EDIT: Updated price, release date and added more images]

Just a few days since the release of Black Cat Lucy Heartfilia, Orca Toys seems to be catching up on the last days of the summer hotness as they finally revealed the sizzling prototype of White Cat Gravure Style Erza Scarlet.

Just like Lucy, Erza is a 1/6 scale figure. She measures 5.07 inches in height and 9/75 inches in length. Erza dons a cat-like outfit with a white two-piece bikini, gloves and brown stockings. She is also looking fierce as ever with a sword on her hand.

But since this is a gravure style figure, it is not surprising for her to be in a fanservice-y pose. She is sitting in a seductive manner, which I prefer not to discuss further.

Basing on the promotional shots, Titania is not looking very much like Erza upon looking at the face. I think a little improvement could be done to get a more likeness on the face, and basing on  what Orca Toys did on the Black Cat Lucy, this is not far to be done.

Another weird looking area on this figure is the stomach part. The lines on her stomach could either be too realistic it is awkward to look at or too unrealistic it should not have looked that way.

However, despite the company being on a roll with Fairy Tail figures, it actually took them over a year to finally reveal Titania’s prototype since her announcement.

It is still unclear if Orca Toys will also make a variant for this character, as what they did with the White Cat and Black Cat Lucy. It is not unlikely, so I am looking forward to see it and hoping it would not be as seductive as this one.

White Cat Gravure Style Erza Scarlet is is available for pre-orders for ¥13,800. She is slated for a December release.

UPDATE: Prepare to shell out bucks with shop exclusive Digimon Tamers figures

banner

Prepare to shell out your hard earned bucks as pre-orders for partners Makino Ruki and Renamon and Blast Mode Beelzebumon and Impmon starts today, May 20.

The Digimon Tamers figures by Megahouse are both limited and shop exclusives, following the previous releases from the G.E.M. series. Both figures are available at Megatrea and Premium Bandai shops.

Ruki and Renamon is available for ¥6,800 and is slated for an October release. Beelzebumon and Impmon cost ¥13800 and expected to arrive on the same month.

Meanwhile, the DigiQueen and her partner stand 130mm tall which could be around 1/10 scale, following the previous Digimon releases from the G.E.M. series. Based on the promotional images, Ruki will also have interchangeable Tamers’ cards and a Digivice on hand.

On the other hand, Beelzebumon stands 180mm tall alongside a smaller Impmon. The height of Beelzebumon could be quite smaller compared to Angemon and Angewomon, which stand around 220mm. It could be because of his crouching pose, so it could be safe to assume that he is also a 1/8 scale.

The said figures are part of MegaHouse’ G.E.M. Digimon series which has previously produced Angemon and Angewomon, and to be released Garurumon and Wizardmon. A Lillimon figure was also announced.

Other releases from the series includes a complete set of Digimon Adventure’s chosen children with their rookie Digimon and Adventure 02’s Ichijouji Ken and Wormmon.
