X-Plus’ regular Gigantic Erza charms in pink swimsuit

Fairy Tail – Erza Scarlet – Gigantic Series – Swimsuit (X-Plus)

As opposed to previous speculations, X-Plus Gigatic Erza Scarlet’s regular version dons a bright pink swimsuit instead of the source material’s black.

Tracing back, the announcement of the 1/4 scale unpainted prototype of Fairy Tail’s strongest female mage during the Summer Wonder Festival got fans wondering how the figure will look like. Many have speculated how it will be painted, until the source material was shown and so we assumed she will come in black bikini.

But as the announcement was made right after the reveal of the exclusive version, Titania in pink swimsuit got mixed opinions from fans. Some say the bright color doesn’t match her personality, as she never wore one in the show. But personally, I prefer the actual paint than the source material, especially after seeing an edited image with a black repaint. The pink paint seem to radiate a “cheerful” aura of Erza, which I prefer to see on my shelf than the black.

However, compared to the exclusive version, the regular version seems to lack details to justify its hefty price. So I think the wise choice is to grab the exclusive instead.

Anyway, if you grabbed Gigantic Lucy Heartfilia, then Titania is also a must get figure, whether you opt for the regular or the exclusive version.

Pre-orders started yesterday and will last until September 24 only. She is slated for October 2015 release at ¥15000.

X-Plus reveals Gigantic Erza Scarlet exclusive version

X-Plus Gigantic Erza Scarlet

Erza Scarlet – Gigantic Series – Swimsuit, Limited Ver. (X-Plus)

Much like the Gigantic Lucy Heartfilia, the Gigantic Erza Scarlet will also come in 2 variations, as X-Plus revealed the painted prototype of the exclusive version on Friday.

The exclusive version is another shop exclusive, which is only available for pre-orders at X-Plus Rakuten. In addition, this version will be limited to 500 pieces only.

The said version features Titania in her yellow bikini with what seems like a tiger-print design, which was seen on the anime’s fifth OVA. It also comes with an additional accessory: a fan printed with Happy’s face. This 1/4 scale Erza stands at 16.38 inches.

On the other hand, X-Plus has yet to reveal the painted prototype of the standard version, but based on the announcement shown in the last Summer Wonder Festival, the difference of the two could only be the swimsuit paint and the fan and popsicle she is holding.

If you are impressed with this figure, pre-orders will open on August 28 until September 24 only at ¥15000. She’s slated for October 2015 release.

Summer WonFes 2015: X-Plus announces more Fairies in swimsuit

Tired of seeing Fairy Tail girls in swimsuit? Well here’s more: X-Plus will be making 3 more fairies in their bikinis!

X-Plus revealed 3 more figures of girls in their swimsuits during the Summer Wonder Festival 2015 (WonFes). The announcement includes a Gigantic Erza Scarlet and a 1/7 scale Lucy and Yukino figures.

1/4 Scale Erza Scarlet

The Gigantic Erza’s prototype, which is a 1/4 scale, made it’s debut sporting a two-piece bikini while holding a popsicle.

As much as we are disappointed with this tiring swimsuit versions, this may be good news for those who grabbed the Gigantic Lucy. And in all fairness, this looks way better compared to the first swimsuit version from the same company, which is a great insult to Titania.

It is still unsure whether X-Plus will pull the same trick they did with Gigantic Lucy: having an exclusive and regular versions. But if they do, it leaves us wondering what differences the versions will have.

Aside from the Gigantic Erza, X-Plus also announced 2 more figures from the series which will not come as a 1/8 or 1/4, but a 1/7 scale! We’re not sure what X-Plus is thinking, but they’ll be making another Lucy figure in yet another swimsuit but just different scale. And as much as I like Lucy, this is really getting tiresome seeing her in swimsuit, all from the same company.

The other figure, which is a shocking reveal, is none other than Sabertooth’s Celestial Spirit mage, Yukino Aguria. Like the other figures, she is also wearing her two-piece bikini while what seemed like holding a golden key.

1/7 Scales Lucy and Yukino

Yukino sure is a shocker, which is not really bad since we are getting a scale of her. But it would be nice if they prioritized the other girls from Fairy Tail before jumping to another guild. And if they went on with the battle versions instead!

Anyway, price, pre-order and release dates for the said figures are yet to be announced so stay tuned.
